Chippewa County Family Project

Sidock Group, Inc. provided design and construction documents for an adult foster care facility for 14 to 18 year old boys and girls. The multi-unit building separates the boys and girls with each half containing four bedrooms at a second floor, and one bedroom on the first floor for the house parents.
The building includes a common space for activities, a kitchen and dining area, and a quiet area for study. Bathrooms in each half of the building accommodate the bedroom areas. A half-bath is provided in the common areas.
The building is separated into two homes; one side houses six males and the other side houses six females. The middle section holds the director’s office, common space and is intended to also serve as an emergency shelter.
