Brownstown Recreation Campus

The Brownstown Township Downtown Development Authority had a vision of creating a multi-use passive and active Recreation Campus incorporated into the existing municipal campus, with the goal of attracting businesses to the area and increasing residential growth. The new Recreation Campus accomplishes just that by expanding recreational assets while celebrating the area’s rich historical and cultural legacy.
The Event Barn is constructed of fieldstone, metal siding, standing seam metal roof, exposed structural framing, stained concrete flooring, exposed burnished masonry walls, pine paneled wood doors, exposed wood decking, and glass. The Event Barn is 5,000 sq.ft., and includes banquet seating for 150, auditorium-style seating for 300, a catering kitchen, and men’s and women’s restrooms which are accessible both from inside and outside of the building.
The 6,000 sq.ft. splash pad and park has several different water attractions that are designed for kids of all ages. The splash park opened to guests on Memorial Day, 2014.
