Birmingham Fire Station

Sidock Group provided full architectural and engineering design and construction administration services for a new one story, multi-bay, fully fire protected building. The existing fire station building, parking lot and driveways were demolished and the existing site was prepared for new construction. Site requirements included new services and utilities connecting to the existing systems, new landscaping and irrigation.
The new station replaced the City’s old fire hall at Chesterfield and West Maple Road, which was demolished to make way for the new building. The new station houses two engines, two rescue vehicles, a Hazmat truck and includes living quarters for up to four fighters.
The Groundbreaking Ceremony was conducted on April 19, 2017, and construction was completed in May 2018. The construction budget was $3 million.
