MECHANICAL ENGINEER
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Mechanical Project Engineer will work under the supervision and support of the Muskegon office HVAC Engineer Project Leader.
- Technical site engineering for commercial, industrial, governmental, and aviation projects.
- Prepare drawing packages for all stages of projects from initial concept, studies, site plan, and client approval, through permitting, bidding, & construction.
- Perform HVAC load calculations, and hydronic and air distribution system sizing calculations.
- Perform equipment selections compatible with the existing building systems and project needs.
- Review client, local, state, and national code requirements to develop site layouts and meet special requirements.
- Review and incorporate client-specific design standards into projects.
- Review equipment vendor documentation to determine installation and integration requirements.
- Develop design documents for equipment layout, ventilation, piping, and plumbing drawings.
